Handyman Services FAQs
What areas do you give service?
We cover the 7-8 mile radius from downtown Boston.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we have general liability and workers comp insurance.
How much do you charge?
Labor is $75 per worker per hour, with a $150 minimum charge per visit. Any materials we need for the job are charged separately.
The quote you gave me was based on my photos — can the price change?
Yes, it can. The quote we send is based on the photos and details you send us with your inquiry, which set the hours we expect the work to take. Repairs are often bigger than they look in a photo — the damage runs further than the surface, or something behind it has to be fixed first. If that happens we stop, tell you what it will now cost, and get your OK before we keep going.
Do you accept check?
We prefer digital payment methods. If you want to write a check you can consider a quickbooks invoice where you can input the routing and account numbers.
What payment methods do you accept?
Paypal, Venmo, Credit Card, Zelle, or other digital payment methods.
What separates you from your competition?
Communication quality, reliability, efficiency and satisfaction.
Can you provide a few time slots for a handyman job?
It's difficult to give a time slots but we can get to it within a week! We will notify you of the day and time when we know.
Do you require a deposit?
We typically ask for a 50% deposit before scheduling the work — on a minimum $150 visit that is $75. You can send it with any of the digital payment methods above.
Is my deposit applied to the visit charge?
Yes — the deposit comes off the cost of the visit, so when the work is done you only pay the balance. What the deposit buys is the date: it holds the slot and the crew for that day. If you reschedule after putting it down, that deposit is not carried over to the new date, and a new deposit is needed to book it.
Do you have license?
Typically handyman work does not require a license, if you require someone with a license, there are other providers in the area who can help.
Do you have references of past/current customers you can provide?
Of course! We just need to get their permission to share it with you.
